Hi Reader,
This Thanksgiving season, I’ve been reflecting on what a year of putting myself out there has meant. I’ve been in business for myself for almost 15 years now(!) I have always worked from home before it became commonplace, and sometimes it can be isolating.
So this past year I decided to start showing up more—attending events, joining local meetups, and connecting with other creatives and business owners. I didn’t know what to expect. What I found was an incredible community of entrepreneurs, students, and professionals, who are building, creating, and cheering each other on.
I also participated as a vendor this past weekend selling all the items from my Etsy Shop including 2 types of calendars, stickers, stationery, and illustrated Buffalo mugs.
I'm proud that I tried something new, this was the first market I've participated in locally. I learned about it through a connection I made at a Stella Foundation event. Thanks to my dear friends who came by to support me!
Buffalo really is a special place to build community. I’m so grateful for every person who’s encouraged me this year, shared their story, or trusted me with a piece of their business. I hope in some way, I’ve encouraged you too.
Here’s to community, and a joyful Thanksgiving with the people who matter most to you.
With gratitude,
